Wyldwood Trail is an Oxford Developments community of 23' traditional townhomes and 35' bungaloft townhomes in Uxbridge. People are moving in now. The final homes are described as nearing completion, with move-in possible within 30 to 90 days.
Should I buy blinds for the whole house or do rooms in stages?
A new house can leave you with every window to cover at once. Start with bedrooms and street-facing rooms if you want to spread the work out. There is no minimum order, so one shade is fine. You can order for the rooms you need first and come back to the others later. Free material samples are available on our website before you buy.
The remake guarantee starts at three shades on one website order and covers one blind per customer. It does not apply to trade accounts. An installation visit starts at three windows. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed, so check each window’s measurements and your material choices before ordering. The final-sale rule does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.
Which blinds work for windows facing the street?
Zebra shades alternate sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the solid bands up for privacy. Offset them for filtered daylight. You can change the position of the bands as you use the room. Materials 1, 2, 5, 9, 13 and 30 are room-darkening zebra materials. Keep those material numbers handy when you choose samples for bedrooms.
We also make roller blinds and Shangri-La shades. A roller blind is one panel of fabric with no bands. Shangri-La shades have soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the shade up. Shangri-La shades come in materials 33 and 35, with material 35 carrying the room-darkening description. They have their own size-based pricing and can be ordered online.
How much does it cost to motorize a floor of windows?
Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. A motorized shade has no chain at all. When you plan a floor of windows, include the motor charge for each shade you want motorized. Include the remote charge once for up to 15 shades.
A chain-operated shade uses a continuous-loop chain. The chain is sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose which side it hangs on when you order. Our workshop sets the drop length. Think about which side you want to reach before you confirm each shade.
Can neighbours on a new street book installation together?
One installation visit can cover more than one house. Homes that book together on one street are counted as one order, with 20% off installation at seven windows or more. If you are starting with only a few rooms, ask neighbours if they also want to book.
Installation is $100 per window, with a minimum of three. Each shade still needs the measurements and material choice for the window it will cover. You can choose your own materials while arranging the installation booking together.
What would blinds for a house cost at real window sizes?
These worked prices are for chain-operated zebra shades, before tax, with shipping in Canada included. A 24 by 36 inches shade for a bathroom window is $125.40. A 30 by 48 inches shade for a bedroom window is $175.00. A 36 by 48 inches shade for a bedroom window is $199.80. A 36 by 60 inches shade for a bedroom window is $237.00. All four together come to $737.20. These are common-window examples. Every shade is priced from the measurements of the window it is for.
A 24 by 36 inches roller blind is $86.10. A motorized 36 by 60 inches zebra shade is $352.00, with the remote extra, once. Widths of 94 inches and over travel by courier in their own carton, charged at $85 once per order. GST or HST is charged by delivery province. Website payment is by Interac e-Transfer. Will you come to Wyldwood Trail to install the blinds?
Wyldwood Trail is roughly 35 km from our workshop in a straight line. It is inside our installation area of 75 km from Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three. At seven windows or more, installation is 20% off. Homes that book together on one street count as one order.
The mechanical parts have a 1 year warranty, currently upgraded free to 3 years. Those parts are the roller, chain, brackets and motor. When our own team installs a shade, its mechanical parts are covered for life. Fabric is excluded from all these warranties. A 5 year mechanical-parts cover can be bought at checkout, which shows its price in dollars for your order.
