Fabric looks different in your window than it does on a screen. Order swatches, hold them against the glass at the time of day that matters to you, and decide from there. No cost, no obligation.
The fabrics

Zebra shades
Alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the solid bands up to close the window, slide them apart for daylight.
Roller blinds
One panel of fabric on the roller, with no bands. Made the same way, on its own price.
Shangri-La shades
Soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the whole shade up into its cassette. Priced by size on its own line. More about Shangri-La shades
Every photograph above is one of our own shades, not a stock image. What you see is what arrives.
Zebra shade, roller blind or Shangri-La?
A zebra shade has alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller: line the solid bands up to close the window, or slide them apart and the daylight comes through the sheer while you keep the view. A roller blind is one panel of fabric with no bands, priced separately. A Shangri-La shade holds soft fabric vanes between two sheer layers; the chain tilts the vanes, then rolls the shade up, and it has its own price. Every material is known by its number, so the swatch you hold up is the cloth we cut.
How much light a material lets through is easiest to judge in the room itself, at the time of day that matters to you. If you are torn between two, order both and compare them in the actual window. That is exactly what samples are for.
How to get them
Tell us which materials you would like and where to send them, and we will put them in the post. Samples ship within one to three days, anywhere in Canada.
Then what?
When you have chosen, work through the measuring guide. It has diagrams for the two bits people get wrong. There is no minimum order, and if you are within 75 km of Richmond Hill we can measure and install them for you.
See a material in your own window first
Take a photo of your window and see any of our zebra or roller materials drawn into it, lined up for privacy or offset for light, while the samples are in the post. The photo never leaves your phone.
