Measure one blind wrong and we will remake it. Custom window coverings are made to one window and cannot be resold, which is why most sellers make a mis-measure your problem. On an order of three shades or more, we cover your first one.
The remake guarantee
Measure in good faith, and if a blind does not fit we will remake it to the corrected size at no charge.
- One remake per customer. It covers a single blind, once. It is there so a first order does not punish you for a learning curve, not as an open-ended re-order allowance.
- On orders of three shades or more. You are welcome to order a single shade, and most of the site is built for exactly that. The remake guarantee starts at three.
- For customers ordering on this website. Trade and dealer accounts buy at trade prices and measure for a living, so their orders are covered by the manufacturing warranty below rather than by this.
- Further remakes are quoted as new blinds.
- Tell us the corrected size and we build the replacement on our normal production schedule.
Before you measure, read the measuring guide. It prevents almost every mis-measure we see.
How many you can order
One shade is a perfectly good order. There is no minimum. The only number that matters here is the three above, which is where the remake guarantee starts.
Warranty on the moving parts
- 3 years on the moving parts, on every shade, free. That is a free upgrade on our usual 1 year, while we are offering it.
- For life on shades we install ourselves. If our team fits it, the mechanical parts are covered for as long as you have it.
- 5 years, if you would like longer. The price is worked out from your order and shown at the checkout before you pay, so you always see the amount.
All three cover the mechanical parts: the roller, the chain, the brackets and the motor. They do not cover the fabric itself, or wear, accidents and damage after it is fitted.
Manufacturing warranty
Every shade is covered against defects in materials and workmanship. Components, mechanisms and fabric are inspected by hand before the shade is boxed. That is separate from the cover above, and it applies to every order, trade included.
Cord safety
Our zebra shades are operated by a continuous-loop chain, unless you order them motorized, which have no chain. You choose which side the chain hangs on when you order, and our workshop sets its drop to suit your window. Every shade ships with a tension device that fastens the chain to the wall or window frame so it is held taut rather than hanging loose.
The anchor is not optional. Fasten it before you use the shade, and keep cribs, beds, playpens and anything else a child can climb well away from the chain.
WARNING — STRANGULATION HAZARD: Young children can be strangled by cords. Immediately remove this product if a cord longer than 22 cm or a loop exceeding 44 cm around becomes accessible.
