Why that matters to you
When the people who cut the fabric also answer the phone, problems get fixed instead of forwarded. Every shade is cut, assembled and inspected here before it is boxed, and a shade that is not right does not ship.
What we build
We specialise in zebra shades, also called sheer or dual shades: alternating bands of sheer and solid fabric on a single roller, cut to your exact window. They are raised and lowered with a continuous-loop chain, and our workshop sets the drop to suit the window. We also make roller blinds on the same machines, in four of the materials below, and Shangri-La shades, soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers, in two materials, each on its own price.
Made in Canada
Manufacturing here means shorter lead times, no cross-border surprises, and a short line between you and the people who actually built your shade. There is no minimum order: one shade is a perfectly good order.
The materials we stock
Every one of these is a material we hold and cut from, photographed here rather than taken from a supplier’s catalogue. Each carries the number our workshop orders it by, so when you tell us a number on the phone we are both talking about the same cloth.
Zebra shades
Alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the solid bands up to close the window, slide them apart for daylight.
Roller blinds
One panel of fabric on the roller, with no bands. Made the same way, on its own price.
Shangri-La shades
Soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the whole shade up into its cassette. Priced by size on its own line. More about Shangri-La shades
