Buying at 7Central in Vaughan with a closing date ahead gives you time to plan your blinds. The development is under construction, so final measurements need to wait for finished window openings. You can choose materials and work out a budget while you wait. We make shades in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order, with transit on top.
What is 7Central and how far along is construction?
7Central is a residential development at the southeast corner of Highway 7 and Interchange Way in Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, Vaughan. Graywood Developments and Phantom Developments are building three towers of 40 to 55 storeys with 1,831 residential units, including 715 purpose-built rental homes.
The development is under construction. Excavation work took place in April 2026. The first tower crane was installed in June 2026.
Can neighbours book blinds installation together?
Neighbours in one building can book together, and one visit can cover more than one home. We count homes that book together as one order for installation pricing. At seven or more windows, installation is 20% off. You can discuss a shared booking while you are waiting for closing.

Each opening still needs its own measurements and choices. Keep them labelled by home and room so each shade can be matched to its window. There is no minimum order for shades themselves. One shade is fine if that is all you need.
Can I motorize blinds for tall or hard-to-reach glass?
Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. A motorized shade has no chain. For a condo window that is awkward to reach, you can plan for motor operation before ordering.
Our chain-operated shades have a continuous-loop chain, sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose which side the chain hangs on when you order. The workshop sets its drop length to suit the window you have measured.
When can I first measure before closing?
The first chance is usually the visit before closing, when the home is finished. Bring a tape. Decide on the mount before measuring. An inside mount sits within the opening and needs at least 2 inches of flat depth for the cassette. With less depth, choose an outside mount. It fixes to the wall above the opening and overlaps it. Add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above for an outside mount.
Measure width first, then height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. For an inside mount, measure the opening at the top, middle and bottom. Write down the narrowest width. Measure from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right, and use the longest height. Give us the exact opening without subtracting anything. We make the deduction ourselves. Measure every window in the same pass with the same tape.
Why do I need to wait for a finished window opening?
A floor plan gives you a room layout. Cutting a shade needs measurements from the finished frame, to the eighth of an inch. Our shades can be 9 to 109 inches wide and up to 130 inches high. Each opening needs to be checked before you confirm an order. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.
You can order free material samples on our website while you wait. Once your order is confirmed, we make it in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days. Transit is on top of that making time. Keep both parts in mind when planning around your moving date.
What should I budget for blinds at real window sizes?
These are examples of common window sizes. Every shade is priced from the measurements of the opening it is for. For chain-operated zebra shades, 30 by 72 inches is $237.00 for a tall bedroom window. A full-height pane measuring 36 by 72 inches is $274.20. A floor to ceiling living room window measuring 48 by 84 inches is $398.20. A balcony slider measuring 72 by 80 inches is $547.00. All four together come to $1,456.40. These prices include shipping in Canada and are before tax. GST or HST is charged by delivery province.
IllustrationA roller blind measuring 30 by 72 inches is $165.75. A motorized zebra shade measuring 72 by 80 inches is $662.00, with the remote extra, once. Zebra shades alternate sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy or offset them for filtered light. A roller blind is one fabric panel with no bands. We also make Shangri-La shades with soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the shade up. They have their own size-based pricing online.
Does ShadeForge install blinds in Vaughan?
Yes. 7Central is roughly 15 km from our Richmond Hill workshop in a straight line. It is inside our installation area of 75 km from Elgin Mills and Yonge. Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three windows. At seven or more windows, installation is 20% off. Neighbours who book together count as one order.
The mechanical parts of a shade our own team installs have lifetime warranty coverage. Those parts are the roller, chain, brackets and motor. Fabric is excluded from that coverage.

Where the facts come from. What this page says about 7Central comes from urbantoronto.ca, which we read on 6 October 2026. ShadeForge makes and fits window shades. We are an independent business with no connection with Graywood Developments, Phantom Developments or with 7Central, and the photographs on this page are of other homes we have fitted. The picture marked Illustration was made by computer to show the kind of window: it is not a picture of 7Central, and not a photograph of our work.
