Kingsley Square Newmarket blinds before your closing date

Kingsley Square in Newmarket is under construction. If your closing date is ahead, start with free material samples and ask management about window-covering requirements. Final sizing needs access to the opening and a decision about mounting. We make shades in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order. Transit is on top, so allow for that when planning around your moving date.

What is Kingsley Square and how far along is it?

Kingsley Square is a condo development at 693-713 Davis Drive in Newmarket. Briarwood Development Group is building two 15-storey condo towers linked by a three-storey podium with commercial spaces.

The development is under construction, with complete finishing expected by winter 2026.

Can I see the material before choosing blinds?

You can order free material samples from our website before buying. A colour on a screen is a poor guide to how it will look in a room. Compare the actual material with your finishes and look at it in the room when you have access. We identify our materials by number.

Zebra shades alternate sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy or offset them for filtered light. A roller blind has one panel of fabric without bands. Shangri-La shades have soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the shade up. Each type is priced by size and can be ordered online.

Should I ask condo management before choosing a colour?

Ask the management office before settling on a material. Many buildings set a rule about how windows look from outside. Find out what applies before confirming your order. Ask about mounting permission and access for measuring while you are planning around your closing date.

You can first measure when you have access to the opening. Decide on an inside or outside mount before taking measurements. An inside mount needs at least 2 inches of flat depth inside the frame for the cassette. With less depth, choose an outside mount. It fixes to the wall above the opening and overlaps it. Add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above when measuring for that mount.

Should a balcony door have one wide shade or two?

A balcony door is usually the widest opening in a flat. Consider one wide shade or two side by side. Check where the handle lands so it does not catch the shade. We make shades from 9 to 109 inches wide and up to 130 inches high. Widths of 94 inches and over travel by courier in their own carton, at $85 once per order.

Measuring width: take the width of the window opening at the top, the middle and the bottom, then order the narrowest of the three. 1 2 3 Top Middle Bottom Measure all three. Order the NARROWEST width
Three width measurements. The narrowest one is the one that matters. It is the only width guaranteed to clear the frame.

Measure width first, then height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. For an inside mount, measure the opening at the top, middle and bottom. Use the narrowest width. Measure from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right. Use the longest height. Give us the exact opening without subtracting anything; we make the deduction ourselves. Measure every window separately, using the same tape.

How does the chain work, and can I choose its side?

Our chain-operated shades use a continuous loop chain, sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose which side the chain hangs on when ordering. Our workshop sets the drop length to suit the window you have measured. Think about access to the chain when choosing its side.

Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. A motorized shade has no chain at all. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. Choose the operation before confirming the order so we can make it as requested.

What should I budget for made-to-measure blinds?

These are examples of common window sizes. Every shade is priced from the measurements of the window it is for. A chain-operated zebra shade at 36 by 84 inches is $311.40. At 48 by 72 inches it is $348.60. At 42 by 84 inches it is $354.80. At 48 by 84 inches it is $398.20. All four together come to $1,413.00.

A roller blind at 36 by 84 inches is $218.85. A motorized zebra shade at 48 by 84 inches is $513.20, with the remote extra, once. These prices are before tax and include shipping in Canada. GST or HST is charged by delivery province. There is no minimum order for shades. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not cover a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.

Can ShadeForge come and install in Newmarket?

Kingsley Square is roughly 20 km from our workshop in a straight line. It is inside our installation area of 75 km from Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three windows. For seven or more windows, the installation charge is 20% less. Neighbours in one building who book together are counted as one order for that pricing.

We make your shades to order in Richmond Hill. The mechanical parts of a shade our own team installs have lifetime coverage. Those parts are the roller, chain, brackets and motor. Fabric is excluded.

Where the facts come from. What this page says about Kingsley Square comes from yorkregion.com, which we read on 6 October 2026. ShadeForge makes and fits window shades. We are an independent business with no connection with Briarwood Development Group or with Kingsley Square, and the photographs on this page are of other homes we have fitted. The picture marked Illustration was made by computer to show the kind of window: it is not a picture of Kingsley Square, and not a photograph of our work.
