If your closing date at Pinnacle Toronto East is ahead, you can plan your blinds before you have the keys. Final measurements need the finished window opening, usually accessible at the visit before closing. We make shades in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order. Leave room for transit and arrange installation around access to your home.
What is Pinnacle Toronto East, and is it finished?
Pinnacle Toronto East is a Pinnacle International development under construction in Scarborough, Toronto. It is on Sheppard Avenue East west of Warden Avenue in northwest Scarborough. The development has two 30-storey towers, a mid-rise and three blocks of townhouses on a 3.5-acre site, with 788 residential units.
In February 2025, it was targeted for a September 2025 occupancy. Its status remains under construction. That earlier target does not establish when your own home will be ready to measure.
Why should I wait to measure before ordering blinds?
A floor plan gives you a room, but it does not give you the finished window opening. We cut every shade to the eighth of an inch. Until the frame is finished and accessible, you cannot take the measurements needed to confirm an order. You can choose materials and plan your budget while you wait.

We make shades to order in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order. Transit comes after that. Work back from your moving date, allowing for measurement, making, delivery and access for fitting. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered.
Can I book blinds with neighbours before we move in?
Flats in one building can repeat, so several neighbours can arrange their bookings together. Each opening still needs measuring. A repeated layout is no reason to copy another home's window dimensions.
One visit can cover more than one home. We count homes that book together in one building as one order for installation pricing. At seven or more windows, installation is 20% off. You can start organising a shared booking before closing, then arrange the visit around access to the finished homes.
When can I first measure a condo window?
The first chance is usually the visit before closing, when the home is finished. Bring a tape and measure every opening in the same pass. Decide on inside or outside mounting first. For an inside mount, check for at least 2 inches of flat depth within the frame. Measure width first, then height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. Take widths at the top, middle and bottom, and record the narrowest. Do not subtract anything. We make the deduction ourselves.
Measure height from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right. Use the longest measurement. If the frame has less than 2 inches of flat depth, choose an outside mount. This fixes to the wall above the opening and overlaps it. Add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above. A condo window also needs a mounting position that lets the shade operate without obstructing the opening or nearby hardware.
Can I motorize tall or hard-to-reach blinds?
Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. A motorized shade has no chain. For glass that is awkward to reach, consider the control before you confirm the order.
IllustrationOur chain-operated shades use a continuous-loop chain, sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose which side the chain hangs on. The workshop sets the drop length to suit the window you have measured.
What should I budget for made-to-measure blinds?
These are example sizes of common windows, not measurements from Pinnacle Toronto East. A chain-operated zebra shade at 24 by 72 inches is $199.80. At 30 by 60 inches it is $206.00. At 60 by 80 inches it is $464.33. At 60 by 84 inches it is $485.00. All four together come to $1,355.13. Each shade is priced from the measurements of the opening it is for.
A roller blind at 24 by 72 inches is $139.20. A motorized zebra shade at 60 by 84 inches is $600.00, with the remote extra, once. These prices are before tax and include shipping in Canada. GST or HST is charged by delivery province. Widths of 94 inches and over travel by courier in their own carton, with an $85 charge once per order. There is no minimum order, so you can start with one shade.
Does ShadeForge install blinds at Pinnacle Toronto East?
Pinnacle Toronto East is roughly 20 km from our workshop in a straight line. It falls inside our installation area, which extends 75 km from Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. We have no connection with Pinnacle International and have not measured, supplied or installed shades at this development.
Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three windows. At seven or more windows, installation is 20% off. Homes that book together in one building count as one order for that pricing. Arrange installation for a time when you can provide access, allowing for dispatch and transit after your order is confirmed.

Where the facts come from. What this page says about Pinnacle Toronto East comes from urbantoronto.ca, which we read on 6 October 2026. ShadeForge makes and fits window shades. We are an independent business with no connection with Pinnacle International or with Pinnacle Toronto East, and the photographs on this page are of other homes we have fitted.
