Galleria III Toronto blinds for moving day

Getting your keys at Galleria III this month means choosing what to put over bare glass. We make made-to-measure zebra shades, roller blinds and Shangri-La shades in Richmond Hill, Ontario. A zebra shade gives you privacy and filtered daylight on one roller. We dispatch confirmed orders within three working days, with transit on top. You can order free material samples before choosing.

What is Galleria III and are people moving in?

Galleria III is a condominium tower in West Toronto, Toronto, within the Galleria on the Park community being built by Almadev. The third chapter of the community is now move-in ready, and people are moving in.

What suits floor to ceiling glass in a condo?

A zebra shade works with alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy. Offset them for filtered daylight. That gives a tall pane both settings without needing a blind and a curtain. You can choose the material first, then have the shade made to the measurements of your condo window. For room-darkening, the zebra materials are 1, 2, 5, 9, 13 and 30. These are the dark materials.

Shangri-La shades are another option, in materials 33 and 35. Their soft fabric vanes sit between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the shade up. Material 35 is room-darkening. Shangri-La shades have their own size-based pricing and can be ordered online. Think about which fabric arrangement you want to use each day before choosing.

Would a roller blind be a better choice?

A roller blind is one plain panel of fabric with no bands. It is a good choice for a condo window when you want a plain layer and do not need the band adjustment of a zebra shade. A roller blind at 30 by 72 inches is $165.75 before tax. A chain-operated zebra shade at 30 by 72 inches is $237.00 before tax.

We make roller blinds in materials 20, 21, 22 and 31. Compare samples of those materials with a zebra material you like. The lower price at that example size may help if you are covering bare windows as you move in. Each window is priced from its own measurements.

Can I see the material before ordering?

You can order free material samples from our website before buying. A colour on a screen is a poor guide to how fabric will look in your room. Look at the sample beside your wall and the finishes you already have. Keep the material number with your measurements so you can select the same material when you order.

How a zebra shade works. Aligning the solid bands blocks the light for privacy; offsetting the bands lines up the sheers for filtered daylight; rolling the shade up leaves the glass clear. Aligned Solid meets solid. Closed for privacy. Offset Sheers line up. Daylight in, view kept. Rolled up Clear glass. Nothing in the way.

We identify each material by the number the workshop cuts it by. Take time to compare the samples before confirming your order. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.

How does the chain work?

Our chain-operated shades have a continuous loop chain. It is sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose which side the chain hangs on when you order. The workshop sets the drop length to suit the window you have measured. Think about where you will reach the chain before choosing its side.

Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. A motorized shade has no chain at all. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. The remote is an extra charge, once. You can choose motor operation for the shades where you want it.

Can ShadeForge come and install my blinds?

We install within 75 km of Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. Galleria III is roughly 25 km from our workshop in a straight line. Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three windows. At seven or more, installation is 20% off. Neighbours in one building or homes on one street that book together count as one order for that rate.

We make shades to order in our Richmond Hill assembly workshop and dispatch them within three working days of a confirmed order. Transit is additional. The mechanical parts of a shade our own team installs have lifetime warranty cover. Those parts are the roller, chain, brackets and motor. Fabric is excluded from the warranty.

Where the facts come from. What this page says about Galleria III comes from galleriaonthepark.com, which we read on 6 October 2026. ShadeForge makes and fits window shades. We are an independent business with no connection with Almadev or with Galleria III, and the photographs on this page are of other homes we have fitted. The picture marked Illustration was made by computer to show the kind of window: it is not a picture of Galleria III, and not a photograph of our work.
