321 Davenport is a 9-storey condominium under construction by Alterra Group of Companies. It is on the south side of Davenport Road in the Annex, in Downtown Toronto. Giannone Petricone Associates designed the building, which has 23 condominium units.
The building has topped off. Its exterior envelope was largely complete in early January 2026.
Can I see the shade materials before choosing?
You can order free material samples from our website while you wait for your closing date. A colour on a screen is a poor guide to how it will look in a room. Look at the samples alongside your room finishes, in the room where possible. We identify materials by the number our workshop cuts them by. Keep that number with your choice.

Line the bands up for privacy or offset them for filtered light. A roller blind is one panel of fabric without bands. Shangri-La shades have soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. Their chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the shade up. You can price Shangri-La shades by size and order them online.
How does the chain work, and can I choose its side?
Our chain-operated shades use a continuous-loop chain. It is sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose which side the chain hangs on when you order. Our workshop sets its drop length to suit the window you have measured. Think about where furniture will sit and where you will stand to reach the chain.
Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. A motorized shade has no chain. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades.
Should I ask condo management before choosing a colour?
Ask the management office before settling on a material. Many condo buildings set a rule about how window coverings look from outside. Check that requirement before choosing a colour or confirming your custom order.
Keep the material number with your choice so you can identify it when ordering. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.
When can I measure a condo window, and what can it mount to?
Measure for ordering once the opening and mounting surfaces are finished and accessible. Check what the window head is made of before drilling. In a condo building it is often concrete, which needs a masonry bit and the right plug. Leave the fitting to an installer if you cannot identify the surface or choose a secure fixing.
Decide on the mount before measuring. An inside mount sits within the opening and needs at least 2 inches of flat depth for the cassette. With less depth, use an outside mount. It fixes to the wall above the opening and overlaps it, hiding an out-of-square frame and blocking more light. Add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above. Measure width first, then height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. For an inside mount, measure the width at the top, middle and bottom. Use the narrowest. Measure from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right. Use the longest. Send the exact opening measurements without subtracting anything. We make the inside-mount deduction. Measure every window in the same pass with the same tape.
What should I budget for made-to-measure blinds?
For budgeting, these are examples of common window sizes. A chain-operated zebra shade at 30 by 72 inches costs $237.00. A chain-operated zebra shade at 36 by 72 inches costs $274.20. A chain-operated zebra shade at 48 by 84 inches costs $398.20. A chain-operated zebra shade at 72 by 84 inches costs $571.80. All four together come to $1,481.20. Each shade is priced from the measurements of the window it is for.
A roller blind at 30 by 72 inches costs $165.75. A motorized zebra shade at 72 by 84 inches costs $686.80, with the remote extra, once. These prices are before tax and include shipping in Canada. GST or HST is charged according to the delivery province. Widths of 94 inches and over travel by courier in their own carton, with an $85 charge once per order. There is no minimum shade order.
Can ShadeForge install, and how does making time fit my move?
321 Davenport is roughly 25 km from our workshop in a straight line. It is inside our installation area of 75 km from Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three windows for a visit. The mechanical parts of a shade our own team installs are covered for life. Fabric is not covered.
