One Delisle is a condominium tower under construction in Midtown Toronto. It has topped off, and buyers with a closing date ahead can start choosing materials while waiting to measure finished window openings. We make shades in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order, with transit on top. One Delisle is within our installation area.
What is One Delisle, and how far along is it?
One Delisle is a 44-storey condominium tower at the northeast corner of Yonge Street and Delisle Avenue in Toronto’s Deer Park neighbourhood. Slate Asset Management is building it. The development has 371 condominium units.
The tower has topped off and remains under construction. It is in Midtown Toronto, roughly 20 km from our workshop in a straight line.
Should I choose a roller blind instead of a zebra shade?
A roller blind is one panel of fabric with no bands. A zebra shade alternates sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy or offset them for filtered light. A chain-operated roller blind at 24 by 72 inches is $139.20. A chain-operated zebra shade at 24 by 72 inches is $199.80. These prices are before tax and include shipping in Canada.

A roller blind is the better choice when you want a plain layer across the opening or a lower price at the same size. We make roller blinds in materials 20, 21, 22 and 31. Free samples can be ordered on our website before you buy. Keep the material number with your notes so you can select the same material when ordering.
What is a condo window head made of?
Check the surface where the brackets will attach. In a condo building, the window head is often concrete. That needs a masonry bit and the right plug. If you cannot identify the surface or are unsure how to fix the brackets securely, leave the work to an installer.
Choose the mounting method before measuring. An inside mount sits within the opening and needs at least 2 inches of flat depth for the cassette. With less depth, choose an outside mount on the wall above the opening. This overlaps the frame and hides an out-of-square opening. For an outside mount, add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above.
Should I ask management before choosing a colour?
Ask the management office about the appearance of window coverings from outside. Many buildings have a rule about this. Check before choosing a colour, and use material samples to help you make the choice.
Our materials are identified by number. Record the number you choose alongside the measurements for each opening. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.
When can I first measure before closing?
The first chance is usually the visit before closing, when the home is finished. Bring a tape and measure every opening in the same visit. Measure width first, then height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. For an inside mount, measure the width at the top, middle and bottom. Write down the narrowest width. Measure from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right, and use the longest height. Send the exact opening measurements without subtracting anything. We make the inside-mount deduction.
Use the waiting time before that visit to choose materials and decide how you want to operate each shade. Once the order is confirmed, we make it in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days. Transit is additional. Allow for both making and delivery when planning around your moving date. Dispatch is the point when the shades leave the workshop.
What should I budget for made-to-measure blinds?
These are common window examples. Every shade is priced from the measurements of the opening it is for. A chain-operated zebra shade at 24 by 72 inches, a narrow full-height pane, is $199.80. A bedroom-window example at 30 by 60 inches is $206.00. A balcony-door example at 60 by 80 inches is $464.33. A wide living-room-window example at 60 by 84 inches is $485.00. All four together come to $1,355.13 before tax, with shipping in Canada included.
IllustrationMotorization adds $115.00 per shade. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. A motorized shade has no chain. Chain-operated shades have a shrouded continuous-loop chain anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose the chain side, and our workshop sets the drop length. GST or HST is charged according to the delivery province.
Can ShadeForge install blinds at One Delisle?
We install within 75 km of Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. One Delisle is roughly 20 km from our workshop in a straight line, so it is inside that area. Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three. At seven or more, installation is 20% off. Neighbours in one building who book together are counted as one order for this.
The mechanical parts of a shade installed by our own team have lifetime warranty coverage. Those parts are the roller, chain, brackets and motor. Fabric is excluded. If you only need a shade supplied, there is no minimum order. One shade is fine.

Where the facts come from. What this page says about One Delisle comes from urbantoronto.ca, which we read on 6 October 2026. ShadeForge makes and fits window shades. We are an independent business with no connection with Slate Asset Management or with One Delisle, and the photographs on this page are of other homes we have fitted. The picture marked Illustration was made by computer to show the kind of window: it is not a picture of One Delisle, and not a photograph of our work.
