77 Clarendon Toronto blinds before your closing date

77 Clarendon is a Menkes condominium community under construction in Midtown Toronto, with occupancy starting in 2026. If your closing date is ahead, you can choose materials and plan the cost now. Cutting needs measurements from the finished window frame. We make shades in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order. Transit is on top, so allow for that before moving day.

What is 77 Clarendon and how far along is it?

77 Clarendon is a condominium community being built by Menkes in the South Hill area of Midtown Toronto. It is under construction, with occupancy starting in 2026.

For a buyer planning ahead of closing, free material samples are a useful place to start. You can order them on our website before buying and choose the material you want before placing a made-to-measure order.

Can I motorize blinds for tall or hard to reach glass?

Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. A motorized shade has no chain. For tall or hard to reach glass, motorizing lets you operate the shade with the remote.

Our chain-operated shades have a continuous-loop chain, sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. You choose which side the chain hangs on when you order. Our workshop sets its drop length to suit the window you have measured. Decide on the control before confirming your order.

Can neighbours book installation together?

Neighbours in one building can book together. One visit can cover more than one home, and homes that book together count as one order for installation pricing. At seven windows or more, installation is 20% off. You can coordinate the booking while choosing materials and controls for your own home.

Each window still needs its own measurements. Measure every opening rather than copying the dimensions from another home. There is no minimum shade order, so one shade is fine. An installation visit has a separate minimum of three windows.

When can a condo window first be measured?

A condo window needs its finished frame before it can be measured for a custom shade. A floor plan gives a room layout. We need the finished opening to cut to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. Decide on the mount before measuring. An inside mount sits within the opening and needs at least 2 inches of flat depth for the cassette. With less depth, choose an outside mount. An outside mount overlaps the opening: add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above.

Measuring width: take the width of the window opening at the top, the middle and the bottom, then order the narrowest of the three. 1 2 3 Top Middle Bottom Measure all three. Order the NARROWEST width
Three width measurements. The narrowest one is the one that matters. It is the only width guaranteed to clear the frame.

Measure width first, then height, always to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. Measure the opening’s width at the top, middle and bottom, and use the narrowest. Measure from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right, and use the longest. For an inside mount, give us the exact opening without subtracting anything. We make the deduction ourselves.

Would a roller blind cost less than a zebra shade?

A roller blind is one plain panel of fabric with no bands. A 30 by 72 inches roller blind is $165.75 before tax. A 30 by 72 inches chain-operated zebra shade is $237.00 before tax. Shipping in Canada is included. A roller blind is the better choice if you want a plain fabric panel and the lower price at that size.

A zebra shade alternates sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy or offset them for filtered light. Roller blinds come in materials 20, 21, 22 and 31. We identify materials by number, and free samples let you compare them before ordering.

What should I budget for made-to-measure blinds?

For chain-operated zebra shades, a 30 by 72 inches tall bedroom window example is $237.00. A 36 by 84 inches floor to ceiling pane example is $311.40. A 48 by 72 inches living room window example is $348.60. A 42 by 84 inches wide floor to ceiling pane example is $354.80. All four together come to $1,251.80 before tax, with shipping in Canada included. These are examples of common windows. Every shade is priced from the measurements of the window it is for.

GST or HST is charged by delivery province. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered. Check the measurements, material and control choice before confirming. We make each order in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of confirmation. Transit is additional time, so keep dispatch and arrival separate when planning around your moving date.

Will ShadeForge come to Toronto and install the blinds?

77 Clarendon is roughly 20 km from our workshop in a straight line. It is inside our installation area, within 75 km of Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. Installation costs $100 per window, with a minimum of three. At seven windows or more, installation is 20% off. Homes that book together count as one order for that pricing.

When our own team installs, the mechanical parts have lifetime cover: the roller, chain, brackets and motor. The fabric is not covered. We make the shades in our Richmond Hill assembly shop, which is not a showroom.
