What is Livewell on Wellington and is it finished?

Livewell on Wellington is a 30-unit townhome development at 1452 Wellington St. E. in Aurora, near Leslie Street. Land Services Group is leading the development.

It is under construction. Construction is expected to wrap up in fall 2026.

Should I buy blinds for the whole house at once?

There is no minimum order. One shade is fine. You can start with bedrooms and street-facing rooms, then cover other rooms later. A new house needs window coverings chosen room by room. Think about where you want privacy first and which windows you want covered when you move in.

The remake guarantee starts at three shades on one website order. It covers one blind per customer and does not apply to trade accounts. An installation visit starts at three windows. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That never covers a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.

Can I order blinds before the window frames are finished?

A floor plan gives you the room layout. We need the finished window opening to cut a shade. Every shade is made from its own measurements, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. Until the frame, trim and paint are finished, leave the final measurements for later.

You can still choose materials and decide which rooms to cover first. Keep a record of the material number you want for each room. Once the openings are ready, measure every window you plan to order for, even if some look the same size.

Can I see the shade materials before ordering?

You can order free material samples from our website before buying. A colour on a screen is a poor guide to how fabric will look in a room. Look at the samples alongside your finishes before choosing. Our materials are identified by number, so keep that number with your room notes.

Zebra shades alternate sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy or offset them for filtered light. A roller blind has one panel of fabric with no bands. Shangri-La shades have soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed, then rolls the shade up. Materials 33 and 35 have their own size-based pricing and can be ordered online.

When can I measure windows in a new house?

Measure after the trim and paint are finished. A measurement taken from the builder’s drawing cannot replace measuring the finished opening. Decide on the mount first. An inside mount sits within the opening and needs at least 2 inches of flat depth for the cassette. With less depth, use an outside mount. An outside mount overlaps the opening: add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above.

Measuring width: take the width of the window opening at the top, the middle and the bottom, then order the narrowest of the three. 1 2 3 Top Middle Bottom Measure all three. Order the NARROWEST width
Three width measurements. The narrowest one is the one that matters. It is the only width guaranteed to clear the frame.

Measure width first, then height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. For an inside mount, measure the width at the top, middle and bottom. Use the narrowest. Measure the height from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right. Use the longest. Give us the exact opening without subtracting anything; we make the deduction. If you are covering several windows, measure them all in one pass with the same tape.

What should I budget for blinds at common window sizes?

These are common window examples. Every shade is priced from the measurements of the window it is for. A chain-operated zebra shade at 36 by 48 inches is $199.80; at 48 by 48 inches it is $249.40; at 48 by 60 inches it is $299.00; and at 72 by 60 inches it is $423.00. All four together come to $1,171.20. A roller blind at 36 by 48 inches is $139.20. These prices are before tax, with shipping in Canada included. GST or HST is charged by delivery province.

Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. A motorized shade has no chain. Allow for installation separately if you want our team to fit them. Widths of 94 inches and over travel by courier in their own carton, with an $85 charge once per order.
