Evelyn is under construction in Richmond Hill, part of Greenpark Group’s Evelyn and Burnet at Rise & Rose development. With a closing date ahead, the first useful measurements usually come at the visit before closing, once the home is finished. We make shades in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order. Transit comes after that, so making time is only part of your moving plan.
What is Evelyn in Richmond Hill, and is it finished?
Evelyn and Burnet at Rise & Rose is a 31 and 23-storey mixed-use condo and commercial development by Greenpark Group. It is on the southwest corner of Yonge Street and Canyon Hill Avenue in Richmond Hill. The development is under construction.
Evelyn is a few kilometres from our workshop in Richmond Hill. It is inside the 75 km area where we install.
What blinds suit floor to ceiling condo glass?
A zebra shade has alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy and offset them for filtered daylight. That gives a tall pane both functions without needing a blind and a curtain. For room-darkening zebra shades, the materials are 1, 2, 5, 9, 13 and 30, the dark colours.
IllustrationA roller blind is one panel of fabric with no bands. Shangri-La shades have soft fabric vanes held between two sheer layers. The chain tilts the vanes open or closed and then rolls the shade up. Any shade can be motorized for $115.00 more. A motorized shade has no chain. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades.
Should I ask the management office before choosing blinds?
Ask the management office about how window coverings must look from outside. Many buildings set a rule about that appearance. Check before choosing a colour, then choose your material by the number we cut it by.

For a chain-operated shade, you choose which side the chain hangs on. Our workshop sets the drop length to suit the window you have measured. The continuous-loop chain is sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. Keep the chain side with your measurements so each opening has its own complete order details.
When can I first measure a condo window before closing?
The first chance is usually the visit before closing, when the home is finished. Bring a tape and measure every opening in the same visit. Decide on the mount before measuring. An inside mount sits within the opening and needs at least 2 inches of flat depth for the cassette. If there is less depth, choose an outside mount. It fixes to the wall above the opening and overlaps it. Add at least 2 inches each side and 2 to 3 inches above.
Measure width first, then height, to the nearest 1/8 of an inch. For an inside mount, measure the width at the top, middle and bottom. Write down the narrowest width. Measure from the top of the opening to the sill at the left, middle and right. Use the longest height. Give us the exact opening and do not subtract anything. We make the inside-mount deduction ourselves. Measure each window, even when openings look alike.
Why can’t I confirm blind sizes from a floor plan?
A floor plan gives you a room. A shade needs measurements from the finished window frame, to the eighth of an inch. Until that frame is finished and accessible, the measurements needed for cutting are still missing. We make widths from 9 to 109 inches and heights up to 130 inches.
We make shades to order in Richmond Hill and dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order. Transit is on top. Work back from your moving date using the date you can measure, then allow for making, delivery and installation. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered.
What should I budget for blinds at real window sizes?
For chain-operated zebra shades, a floor to ceiling pane at 36 by 84 inches is $311.40. A living room window at 48 by 72 inches is $348.60. A wide floor to ceiling pane at 42 by 84 inches is $354.80. A floor to ceiling living room window at 48 by 84 inches is $398.20. All four together come to $1,413.00. These are common window examples. Each shade is priced from the measurements of the window it is for.
As a roller blind, 36 by 84 inches is $218.85. As a motorized zebra shade, 48 by 84 inches is $513.20, with the remote extra, once. These prices are before tax, with shipping in Canada included. GST or HST is charged by delivery province. Widths of 94 inches and over travel by courier in their own carton, with an $85 charge once per order. There is no minimum shade order.

Where the facts come from. What this page says about Evelyn comes from urbantoronto.ca, which we read on 6 October 2026. ShadeForge makes and fits window shades. We are an independent business with no connection with Greenpark Group or with Evelyn, and the photographs on this page are of other homes we have fitted. The picture marked Illustration was made by computer to show the kind of window: it is not a picture of Evelyn, and not a photograph of our work.
