Material 5 is a room-darkening zebra shade we make to measure in Richmond Hill, Ontario. It suits kitchens and living rooms where you want control over privacy and filtered light. The worked prices cover common bathroom, kitchen, living room and wide front windows, so you can see what this material costs at a useful size.
What does Material 5 look like on a window?
You see alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller. Line the bands up for privacy, or offset them for filtered light. You adjust their position with a continuous loop chain. The chain is sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device.
We identify this material by the workshop number 5. Use that number when you ask us about it or place your order. It is the number the factory cuts by. You choose which side the chain hangs on, and we set its drop length.
What does a Material 5 zebra shade cost?
For a bathroom window measuring 24 by 36 inches, the price is $125.40. A kitchen window at 48 by 48 inches costs $249.40. The living room example, 48 by 60 inches, is $299.00. For a wide front window, 72 by 60 inches is $423.00.
All four together come to $1,096.80. These are chain-operated zebra shade prices before tax, with shipping in Canada included. GST or HST is charged by delivery province. These are common window examples, so take measurements for each window you plan to cover.
Can I order one shade or have it motorized?
One shade is fine. There is no minimum order. We dispatch within three working days of a confirmed order, with transit time on top. Custom shades are final sale once the order is confirmed. That does not apply to a shade that arrives faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered.
Motorization adds $115.00 to any shade. A motorized shade has no chain. One remote costs $50.00 and runs up to 15 shades. If you want us to install, we work within 75 km of Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill. Installation is $100 per window, with a minimum of three.
