Material 1 is a zebra shade with alternating sheer and solid bands on one roller. It is room-darkening and suits a bedroom or a room with a front window. We make each shade to the measurements you give us, so the price comes from the window it will cover.
How do I use material 1 on a window?
Line the bands up for privacy. Offset them for filtered light. That gives you a way to adjust the shade while it covers the window. When you talk to us about this material, quote 1. That is the number the workshop cuts it by.
We make widths from 9 to 109 inches and heights up to 130 inches, to the eighth of an inch. Measure the window you want to cover before choosing your size. A tall stairwell window and a patio door each need their own measurements.
What does a material 1 zebra shade cost?
For a small bedroom window, a chain-operated shade at 24 by 48 inches is $150.20. A tall stairwell example measures 36 by 84 inches and costs $311.40. For a front window at 60 by 60 inches, the price is $361.00. The patio door example, at 72 by 80 inches, comes to $547.00. These are common window examples. We price your shade from your window’s measurements.
With a motor, the 72 by 80 inches shade is $662.00. For that 72 by 80 inches motorized shade, the remote is extra at $50.00, once, and runs up to 15 shades. A motorized shade has no chain. These prices are before tax, with shipping in Canada included. GST or HST is charged by delivery province.
How will you make and send my shade?
We make your order in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and dispatch it within three working days of confirmation. Transit time is on top. There is no minimum order, so one shade is fine. Our workshop at 604 Edward Avenue Unit 15, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 9Y7 is an assembly shop. Widths of 94 inches and over travel by courier in their own carton, at $85 once per order.
For chain operation, you choose which side the chain hangs on. We set the drop length. The continuous loop chain is sold shrouded and anchored to the wall with a tension device. We also offer installation within 75 km of Elgin Mills and Yonge in Richmond Hill.
